How long has it been since you last drank coffee? What was the last hangout place you have been to? Can you ever say no to cheesy snacks?

The past few days of my vacation, I have had been to like over five different cafes in Ahmedabad,India. It is the ultimate place for eating good food,drinking a chocolate shake and catching up with friends.Since, it wasn't until recently that the cafe culture has tremendously increased in this city or the entire country,I decided to search on what led to its increase.

What makes the cafes so inviting?Good ambiance?Good food?Good drinks?

Cafes originally started out as coffee-houses in Europe. Even the tea-loving countries like Britain started to have coffee-lovers gradually. These coffee-houses started serving snacks alongside.

Initially they were just places one would randomly visit to drink the different flavors of coffee.

Surveys suggest that the number of visits to cafe and established cafe-chains like Star-bucks had a huge increase in outlets when the WiFi-era came-in.

Cafe's then became a place to incorporate friendly after work-hours hangout place and

gradually graduated to having a good ambiance to give out good vibes for inviting creative thoughts .Nowadays, we have no wifi,no gadgets cafes too to avoid too much addiction.

mentions in his article that he links the increase in cafe's being a hangout place for youngster to the popular American sitcom-'Friends'. I wouldn't disagree:P.

India has Cafe Coffee Day(CCD), Indian Coffee House(ICH) and Barista cafe as some well established nation-wide chains.They do come alongwith expensive bills(+GST). This aspect has led to the rise of numerous small cafes in the past twenty years. Also, being a tea-loving country, numerous tea-villas have also sprung-up in the country.

In a nutshell,cafes have evolved over-time by incorporating new features for maintaining its place in the market-place. Also, people never will stop loving coffee and food,so it has a strong hold economically.
